Experience something you won’t find anywhere else—a private day riding alongside members of the Caldwell Police Mounted Unit at beautiful Eagle Island State Park. Surrounded by open fields, tree-lined trails, and Idaho scenery, two guests will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at how mounted police horses and their riders train, prepare, and work together. Your experience will include a minimum of three hours of riding and mounted training with CPMU officers, followed by time enjoying the trails of Eagle Island State Park. Depending on experience and arrangements, participants may bring their own horses or, when appropriate, ride CPMU horses. You’ll have the opportunity to experience elements of mounted police training firsthand, ride alongside CPMU officers and horses, and capture some incredible photos and memories along the way. This isn’t your everyday trail ride. It’s a rare opportunity to step into the world of the Caldwell Police Mounted Unit and experience the partnership between officer and horse from the saddle.
